Application of Holistic Nursing Concepts in Burn Patients

Abstract
Holistic nursing is an essential tool for caring for the health and quality of life of patients by assessing physical, psychological, and social factors. The assessment results are then used to create individual, family, and community care plans. This article has applied holistic nursing concepts to care for patients with burn injuries, divided into 3 phases: 1) emergency phase 2) critical phase, and 3) rehabilitation phase. In caring for burn patients, nurses must have knowledge, understanding the problems and needs of patients at each stage to provide comprehensive care. Including the need for important care, which is control and prevention of infection, promoting wound healing, wound traction, joint adhesions, and scars as well as providing psychological care to patients and relatives, including encouraging patients and their families to participate in medical care to allow the wounds to heal normally without complications, including various organs not deformed. As a result, patients will have a good quality of life and be able to return to live happily with their families and society.
