RISK MANAGEMENT AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STRATEGIES FOR PREVENTING TEENAGE PREGNANCY OF SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN SAMUTSONGKHRAM PROVINCE

The purposes of this research were to determine: 1) Risk management of secondary schools in Samutsongkhram; 2) The implementation of the strategies for preventing teenage pregnancy ofsecondary schools in Samutsongkhram; and 3) Relationship between risk management and the implementation of the strategies for preventing teenage pregnancy of secondary schools in Samutsongkhram. Key Informants of this research were director or vice-director of a high school and teachers; totalnumber of key informants were 197. Data were analyzed using descriptive, and inferential statistics. Content validity of questionnaire was tested using 5 experts. Content validity was 1, and the modified
questionnaire. Reliability of data was tested using non-sample of 30 participants; reliability was 0.98.
The results of the study were reported as the following. Risk management, as a whole and individual, were at a high level. In order arithmetic mean from maximum to minimum were as follows: report and follow up, risk identification/incidence, risk assessment, risk response and preparation of prevent plans while objective setting had moderate in Arithmetic mean. The implementation of the strategies for preventing teenage pregnancy, as a whole and individual, were at a high level. In order arithmetic mean from maximum to minimum were as follows: prevention strategy, strategy to eradicate enticements and media influence, strategy of pushing policies forward, strategy of assisting
and cures, strategy of information survey, strategy plans developing and follow up and strategy of strengthen role and knowledge for the group of thought leaders of the youths. There is a statistically significant relationship between risk management and the implementation of the
strategies for preventing teenage pregnancy (p<.01).
