Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) compare readiness and anxiety of nursing students at before and after participation in the program to prepare for professional nursing and midwifery licensure examination, and 2) study the satisfaction towards the program. The sample was 212 fourthyear nursing students at Boromarajonani College of Nursing Bangkok, in academic year 2558. The 10 months program focused on achievement motivation, self-efficacy, and social support was implemented. The results showed that, after participating in the program, the sample was ready for the licensure examination more than at before participating in the program with statistical significance (t211 =15.52, P=.000). The anxiety about the licensure examination after participating in the program was lower than before participating in the program with statistically significant level at .000 (t211=4.62, P=.000). Majority of the subjects satisfied the most on tutoring class to review knowledge delivered by the nurse instructors (N 165; 77.83 %). The subject rated highest satisfaction on adult nursing tutoring class accounted for 94.81% (N = 201). This preparation program for the professional nursing and midwifery licensure examination is effective for reducing anxiety and increasing readiness for the examination. This program should be implemented and tested in the next cohort to shed light on a development of good practice for nursing/midwifery licensure examination.
