ผลของโปรแกรมส่งเสริมการบริหารข้อเข่าเพื่อบรรเทาปวดด้วยการแพทย์แผนไทย ในผู้สูงอายุที่มีอาการข้อเข่าเสื่อม จังหวัดพิจิตร

บทคัดย่อ

     การวิจัยกึ่งทดลองนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของโปรแกรมส่งเสริมการบริหารข้อเข่าเพื่อบรรเทาปวดด้วยการแพทย์แผนไทยโดยประยุกต์ทฤษฎีการรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเอง กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือผู้สูงอายุ  60 – 79 ปี และมีอาการข้อเข่าเสื่อมที่มีคะแนนรวมจากการประเมินระดับความรุนแรงโรคข้อเข่าเสื่อมอยู่ระหว่าง 20 - 39 คะแนน ร่วมกับมีระดับความปวดข้อเข่าตั้งแต่ 3 คะแนนขึ้นไป แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มเปรียบเทียบ กลุ่มละ 34 คน ระยะเวลาในการศึกษา 12 สัปดาห์ เก็บข้อมูลก่อนและหลังการทดลองด้วยแบบสัมภาษณ์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และทดสอบความแตกต่างด้วยสถิติ Chi-square test, Fisher’s exact test, Paired t-test และ Independent t-test

     ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ภายหลังการทดลอง กลุ่มทดลองมีความรู้โรคข้อเข่าเสื่อม การรับรู้ความสามารถตนเองในการบริหารข้อเข่า และความคาดหวังต่อผลลัพธ์ของการบริหารข้อเข่าสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลอง และสูงกว่ากลุ่มเปรียบเทียบอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p< .001) อีกทั้งมีระดับความปวดข้อเข่าลดลงต่ำกว่าก่อนการทดลอง และลดลงต่ำกว่ากว่ากลุ่มเปรียบเทียบอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<.001) เมื่อพิจารณาการปฏิบัติกายบริหารข้อเข่าครบตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดพบว่าทั้ง 2 กลุ่ม มีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (ร้อยละ 47.10 และร้อยละ 0.0, p<.001)  

     ดังนั้น โปรแกรมนี้ จึงสามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้สำหรับส่งเสริมให้ผู้สูงอายุที่มีอาการข้อเข่าเสื่อมปฏิบัติกายบริหารข้อเข่าเป็นประจำ และบรรเทาอาการปวดข้อเข่าได้
