Factors affecting the efficiency of revenue collection at Hat Yai Hospital, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province

Abstract

The purpose of this study is To study the efficiency of revenue collection of Hat Yai Hospital, study the factors of revenue collection that affect the efficiency of revenue collection of Hat Yai Hospital, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. From the questionnaire, the sample group used was personnel who actually performed the work. In Hat Yai Hospital, there were 355 people. Data were analyzed using statistics: percentage, mean, and standard deviation. and statistics for multiple regression analysis.

Research Findings: 1) the factors related to revenue collection at Hat Yai Hospital were overall rated at a high level. When considering each aspect, the highest average was found in the area of knowledge about medical fees, followed by the operational measures, and the lowest average was found in the area of information technology. 2) the efficiency of revenue collection at Hat Yai Hospital was overall rated at a high level. When considering each aspect, the highest average was found in the area of accuracy and completeness, followed by monitoring and auditing, and the lowest average was found in the area of cost-effectiveness. 3) the factors influencing the efficiency of revenue collection at Hat Yai Hospital include information technology, knowledge about medical fees, personnel, service delivery, public relations, and information awareness, with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
