The sample consisted of 103 students from educational institutions, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected between October and December 2024 using a structured questionnaire. The questionnaire covered personal information, smoking behavior, attitudes toward smoking, influence of close individuals, exposure to secondhand smoke, awareness of public smoking regulations, exposure to tobacco advertising and promotion, and tobacco-related education in schools. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and chi-square tests.

The results showed that 25.2% of respondents engaged in smoking. Among them, 7.7% smoked on 20–29 days per month, and another 7.7% smoked 11–20 cigarettes per day. Most obtained cigarettes from others or by asking (46.1%), and primarily used manufactured cigarettes (57.7%), followed by electronic cigarettes (30.8%) and hand-rolled cigarettes (15.4%). The most common smoking location was friends’ houses (46.3%). Factors significantly associated with smoking behavior included gender, monthly allowance, intentions regarding smoking in the next 12 months and five years, having friends who smoke, recent exposure to secondhand smoke outside the home, and having received free cigarette samples (p < .05).

Kunnika Pinthongpun Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://he01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JAHSCH/article/view/280074 Fri, 06 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Factor related to the prevention behaviors for Dengue Hemorrhagic fever of students at a secondary school, Yala Province https://he01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JAHSCH/article/view/284227
This analytical cross-sectional study examined the levels of knowledge, attitudes, and preventive behaviors related to dengue fever among junior high school students at an educational institution in Yala Province, and investigated factors associated with these behaviors. The sample consisted of 179 lower secondary students enrolled in the 2023 academic year. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, along with hypothesis testing via the chi-square test.

The findings revealed that 43.58% of students had a moderate level of dengue-related knowledge. Similarly, attitudes toward dengue fever were moderate among 49.16% of participants, while 51.96% demonstrated moderate preventive behaviors. Additionally, educational level (p = 0.049) and attitudes toward dengue fever (p < 0.001) were significantly associated with students’ preventive behaviors.

The study suggests that improving knowledge, enhancing awareness, and fostering positive attitudes toward dengue fever can contribute to more effective preventive behaviors among students. Strengthening these factors may play an important role in helping reduce the incidence of dengue fever within schools and surrounding communities.
Nureesa Saleng, Chompunuch Supapvanich, Kamonchanok Chukeo Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://he01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JAHSCH/article/view/284227 Fri, 28 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 สมองที่สองกับประสาทลงท้อง https://he01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JAHSCH/article/view/280092 รศ.ดร.เสรี พงศ์พิศ Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://he01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JAHSCH/article/view/280092 Fri, 06 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 A Study of Job Performance Competencies of Authorized Officers under the Health Establishment Act B.E. 2559 (2016) https://he01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JAHSCH/article/view/284251
The competencies of Audit Officers (ACs) are key to the successful enforcement of the Health Establishment Act B.E. 2559 (2016).
