Abstract

This research was to study the  model efficiency management of  the rehabilitation and nursing home center, Uttaradit Rajabhat University. The respondents are 77 people, consisting of 1) 12 executives from related sectors, 2) 15  personnel who are responsible for the elderly, 3) 5 elderly care providers in Uttaradit province and neighboring provinces, and 4) 45 representatives form public sector. The research instrument is a structured interview  developed by researchers that reviewed the literature related to organizational management and nursing home care. The data was collected by focus group and in-depth interview. The data was analyzed by content analysis.


The research results found that the model efficiency management of  the rehabilitation and nursing home center  Uttaradit Rajabhat University consists of 1) Shared values: setting common goals, thinking and acting  together, using resources for co- benefit. 2) Strategy: setting vision, goals, missions, and strategies for integrating community partners. 3) Structure: establishing a committee to drive operations and working groups in various fields with representatives from the university, community partners, and experts in related fields, with clear roles and responsibilities. 4) System: organizing systems and mechanisms for operations to cover the management system and operations according to the mission, with a quality assurance system, a system for monitoring operations. 5) Personnel: making a plan for recruiting and developing personnel that is consistent with the work and expertise in caring for the elderly. 6) Skills: training skills for the elderly and caregivers, students, and the general public. 7) Model of care: developing a service program that covers promotion, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for both outpatients and overnight stays.
