The Effects of Promoting the Health of the Elderly with Five Dimensions of Quality of life and Happiness in community Phai Lom Sub-district, Lablae District, Uttaradit Province

Abstract
This objective is the Quasi-experimental research, one group pretest-posttest design for collecting elder’s information. To purpose of this study was to study effects of Promoting the Health of the Elderly with Five Dimensions of Quality of life and Happiness in community Phai Lom Sub-district, Lablae District, Uttaradit Province. A sample was selected from the elder who were member of the Elderly Club and participate in activities of the Elderly Club by selecting purposive sampling for 30 people. The instruments used in this study were the quality of life test measure the reliability was .87 and the happiness measure the reliability was .92. The quantitative data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics to compare the mean score before and after the experiment using the Paired t-test statistics.
The results found that the average score of quality of life and happiness before and after joining the Promoting the Health of the Elderly program with Five Dimensions was found to be significantly higher at .05 level.
Suggestion: The Promoting the Health of the Elderly program with Five Dimensions can be used as a guideline to promote health of the elderly in other communities. The activity format can be adjusted as appropriate and determine the duration of activities to be consistent with the living context of the elderly in that community.
