Empowerment in Diabetic Patients for Promoting Self-Care Behavior: From Concept to Practice

Abstract
Diabetes is a condition in which the body has blood sugar higher than normal. Diabetes is a major cause that causes various complications, including heart disease. Complications of the kidneys, eyes, nerve endings and feet, etc. resulting in disability or death of the patient.
Promoting self-care behaviors in diabetic patients is essential for helping patients to take care of themselves. This will lead to lower blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of complications. Empowerment is one way to promote self-care behaviors. This article aims to present the empowerment of diabetic patients to promote self-care behavior. This article consists of 1. Self-care behaviors in diabetic patients. 2. The concept of empowerment and 3. Empowerment in diabetic patients to promote self-care behavior so that patients can take care of themselves and have a better quality of life.
