This research and development proposed to 1) develop an evaluation form on job performances of nurses working at the operation room under the university hospitals, 2) verify the content validity, and reliability of the evaluation form on job performances of nurses working at the operation room under the university hospitals. 3) studied the results of implementing the competency evaluation form on construct validity and competency level of registered nurses in operation room under the university hospitals. This research consisted of 3 steps including 1) develop an evaluation form on job performances of nurses working at the operation room. In this step, the researcher developed the evaluation form by using the concept of specific job performances based on the criteria of The Thai Perioperative Nurses Association together with rubric principle for the measurement scale, 2) validate the quality of the evaluation form on job performances of nurses working at the operation room by computing the reliability between 2 evaluators. Then, 30 nurses working at the operation room were evaluated and data were analyzed by Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and 3) implement the evaluation form on job performances with 330 nurses working at the operation room. These samples were selected using multi-stage sampling technique and data collection were done between August and October 2017. Confirmatory factors analysis was employed to analyze construct validity of the evaluation form.
The results revealed that 1) the evaluation form on job performances of nurses working at the operation room under the university hospitals consisted of 3 phases including 1.1) preoperative stage which involves 6 job performances, 1.2) operative stage included 5 job performances, 1.3) postoperative stage consisted of 4 job performances, 2) the evaluation form quality checking indicated that the evaluation form had content validity and inter – rater reliability at 0.99 3) The level of competency of professional nurses under operating rooms university hospital including preoperative period, surgery period and after surgery period were at level 4 for all issues
