Abstract

This predictive research aimed to study factors affecting stress level, stress management, and productivity in working from home during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Seven hundred eighty-seven personnel who worked at Rajamangala University of Technology in Thanyaburi (RMUTT) participated in the study. Questionnaires comprised: 1)stress level, 2)stress management, 3)demographic information of RMUTT personnel, 4) personality of RMUTT personnel, 5) happiness indicator, 6) adaptation to working from home, 7) working environment support, 8) environment for working from home, and 9) productivity in work-from-home during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of research tools were 96, .97, .93, .92, .84, .81, .95, .91, and .97, respectively. In addition, descriptive statistics and Stepwise Multiple Regression analysis were used so to analyze data.

The results showed that the level of stress of RMUTT personnel was at a high level (M=45.80, SD=15.89), while the level of stress management was at a moderate level (M=2.05, SD=0.76). Furthermore, there was a significant correlation between sex, age, marital status, work position, personality, adaptation to working from home, and stress level (p<.05, .01, .001).

Therefore, school administrators should provide a problem-solving program and emotional management support for personnel. To increase workforce happiness, personal and external factors should be considered, in regards of factors such as productivity, and better environment.
