Abstract

The study of quasi-experimental one-group research design aimed to investigate the effects of the resilience-enhancing program on the resilience quotient among working-age adults in Muang district, Nakhonsawan province. Thirty-six samples were working-age adults from Wat Sai subdistrict, Muang district, Nakhonsawan province, who were randomly selected using a lucky draw from 17 subdistricts in Nakhonsawan province. They received resilience-enhancement training which consisted of 10 activities three times, one week apart. Data were collected using a general information form and a resilience quotient form. The experts verified the instrument. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the resilience questionnaire was 0.72. Descriptive statistics and paired t-test analyzed the data.
The findings showed that the mean score of the resilience quotient of the working-age groups after receiving a resilience-enhancing program was higher than before receiving the program statistically significant at the .05 level. This research suggested that resilience-enhancing programs can increase resilience or mental health strength. It has a positive effect on mental health and well-being. Therefore, it can be used as a practice guideline for developing programs or activities to care for the mental health of the workforce groups to cope with various problems in daily life.
