Factors predicting ability to prevent sexual harassment of undergraduate student in Lampang Province

The purposes of this predictive research were to study the correlated factors and predictive factors of ability to prevent sexual harassment of undergraduate student in Lampang Province. The sample of 389 people was calculated using Taro Yamane's formula at the significance level of .05. A cluster random sampling was used to recruit the sample from 4 institutions as Lampang Rajabhat University, Thammasat University, Lampang Centre, National Sports University Lampang Campus and Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Lampang, Phra Boromarajchanok Institute. Data were collected by Assessment of factors related to the prevention of sexual harassment It consists of awareness of sexual harassment. assertive behavior, self-esteem and online media literacy which had a reliability value of .77, .71, .82 and .71, respectively, and the sexual harassment prevention behavior assessment questionnaire had a reliability of .74. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and Multiple regression analysis.
The results showed that factors related to sexual harassment prevention behavior with statistical significance at the .05 level, including perceptions of sexual harassment, assertive behavior. Self-esteem and online media literacy behavior. The correlation coefficient ranged from .158 to .411. Predictive factors of the sexual harassment prevention were sexual harassment perception (PER), online media Literacy behavior (MED), and assertive behavior (ASS). at the level of 72.5 % (R2 =.725).The highest predicting factor was sexual harassment perception (PER) (B=.558, p=.001), followed by online media literacy behavior (MED) (B=.485, p=. 002) and assertive behavior (ASS) (B=. -348, p=.006), The forecasting equation was as the following; Y = 1.868 +.541(PER)+ .453 (MED)+ .320 (ASS)
