Abstract

This Research and Development were to develop of clinical nursing practice guideline for mild traumatic brain injury in Emergency department, Saraburi hospital and results were studied according to Soukup's Evidence-Based Nursing Conceptual Framework between September 2022 and April 2023. There were 4 steps (1) Search clinical problem (2) searching Evidence supported (3) developing evidence observed and (4) apply evidence based and evaluated. The research instrument included nursing practice guideline and the practical manual. The data collection tools consisted of the knowledge test, practice checklist, satisfaction questionnaires and the clinical outcomes. Data were analyzed using paired t-test.

          The results showed that development of Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline for mild traumatic brain injury in Emergency department, Saraburi hospital after implementing the guidelines professional nurse knowledge increased statistically significantly (p<.05), followed by the guideline 100% and satisfaction level with the use of the guideline Caregivers had a statistically significant increase in knowledge (p<.05) in taking care of patients. Including the effect on re-admission rate, incidence of cerebral hemorrhage and the rate of admission no incidence was found.
