Self-care Behaviors among Patients with Urinary Stone at Samut-sakhon Hospital

Urinary stone disease is a public health problem of Thai people. This study research is the Self-care behaviors of patients with urinary stone at Samut-Sakhon Hospital with the objective to 1) study the self-care behaviors level of patients with urinary stone and 2) study the factors effected the self-care behaviors of patients with urinary stone. This research method was descriptive cross-sectional survey used interview with questionnaires among 250 patients who were attended to cure at Samut-Sakhon hospital. The statistical methods used to analyze personal data were percentage, mean, standard deviation and analyze the factors effected the self-care behaviors of patients with urinary stone with multiple regression analysis.
This result showed that most samples have the middle level of the Self-care behaviors ( = 3.15, SD = 0.722) and the factors effected the Self-care behaviors were the education level, occupational and the household environmental conditions at the significant level 0.05. According to this study, we recommend that nurse should advise the people about this disease to protect complication. In the next future research, we suggest that the qualitative research should be carried out each context of the country especially risk factors of food taking and drinking behaviors and so on.
