Factor Analysis of Foundational Characteristics for Entrepreneurship Among Nursing Students, Boromarajjonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Lampang

This descriptive research aims to determine the key factors of foundational characteristics for entrepreneurship among nursing students. The data was collected from 567 nursing students enrolled in bachelor of nursing science program at Boromarajjonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Lampang. The data were analyzed by Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with principal component analysis and varimax rotation.
The findings revealed that there were six foundational characteristics for entrepreneurship that were identified: strategic management, contemporary business skills, success-oriented positioning, unique value creation and the ability to face uncertainty. These factors explained 42.9 % of accumulated variance.
The six foundational characteristics for entrepreneurship among nursing students can be used to guide teaching in nursing entrepreneurship course and developing entrepreneurship characteristics among nursing students.
