Development of Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Service System in Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients, Ngao Hospital, Ngao District, Lampang Province

Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is the emergency medical condition. It. is a serious disease and needs urgent care, The Emergency medical service system is effective to save the life during to transferation to the hospital, however it can decrease the survival rate of these patients. The aim of a descriptive research study is exploration to study and explore appropriated way to develop a pre-hospital emergency medical service system in acute coronary disease patients. The quantitative data included 38 population of the patient and their relative with acute coronary syndrome, the qualitative data consist of 8 the acute coronary syndrome patient hat go to follow up and EKG was done. Data collection were consisted of questionnaire and in-depth interview, analyzed with descriptive statistics; frequency, percentile and qualitative analysis involves content analysis. Results: 1) the vehicle was delivered to the hospital by private car/ family member, 63.16% without emergency medical services in this group. 2) the reason for not using the service was because it was more convenient than the emergency medical services 89.47%,not Known the way to contact with the hospital such as call for 1669 (42.11%) patients and the perception of the warning signs for service calls is only 52.63%. Consistent with the qualitative study found that, The patients lacked the knowledge and understanding of emergency medical services, warning signs of acute coronary syndrome and some elderly caregivers are limited. Recommendations: The development of a pre-hospital emergency medical service system in Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients should provide knowledge and develop a public information approach to the general population
