Factors Predicting the Nutritional Status among Pregnant Women at KoKha Hospital, Lampang Province

This predictive research aims to personal data, knowledge, beliefs, nutritional status, and examine. Factors prediction the nutritional status among pregnant women in KoKha Hospital, Lampang Province. The sample comprises of 137 pregnant women who received antenatal care at KoKha Hospital, Lampang Province. The sample group was purposively sampling. Data collection was conducted through personal questionnaires, including questions regarding beliefs about maternal food consumption and a knowledge test on maternal food consumption. Personal data, beliefs, and knowledge related to maternal food consumption were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Additionally, predictors of nutritional status among pregnant women from the Vallop curve of maternal nutrition were analyzed using logistic regression analysis.
The study found that 74.5% of the sample group were aged between 20-34 years, 60.9% were single-parent families, 43.1% were on their second pregnancy. 48.9% had an educational level of high school or higher, 46% had a pre-pregnancy BMI within the normal range, and 65.7% had good nutritional status. Beliefs regarding maternal food consumption was relatively low ( = 2.37, SD= 0.17), while knowledge about maternal food consumption was high, with an average score of 15.77 (SD= 2.61). The factors that could predict the nutritional status of pregnant women were beliefs and knowledge about maternal food consumption, pre-pregnancy BMI and age of pregnant women
