ผลของการใช้สื่อการเรียนรู้แอพพลิเคชั่นเพื่อพัฒนาความรู้ และทักษะการช่วยฟื้นคืนชีพขั้นพื้นฐานสำหรับนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย High School Students Knowledge and Skill about Basic Life Support (BLS): The Effects of using an Application

Abstract

Objectives: This study aimed to study the effects of using a learning style application (Application) to develop knowledge and skills in Basic Life Support (BLS) as well as the satisfaction with learning style apps function in basic life support. Methodology: This quasi – experimental study used one group pre-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 grade 12 students from Schools in UbonRatchathani (N = 30). The concept to create an application by ADDIE Model was employed as the conceptual framework of the study and conceptual of basic life support in 2015. Data were collected with three sets of questionnaires that assessed 1) knowledge about basic life support (KR-20=0.8), 2) skills related to basic life support were evaluated by inter-rater with percentage of agreement =94.3%, Cohen’s kappa = 0.87, 3) satisfaction with the Application (Cronbach alpha coefficient = 0.95). Data were analyzed in terms of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and paired t-test. Results: The study findings revealed that after using application, the sample group was measured to have increased knowledge and skill after using the Application (p< 0.01). Moreover, the mean score of satisfaction with the Application was at a high level (mean = 4.47 and SD = 0.12). Conclusion: The results of this study revealed that learning style application in Basic Life Support can help students to meaningfully increase related knowledge and skills. Thus, all of High schools should teach about basic life support in the course so that students can help those with cardiac arrest beating effectively.
