The development of depression screening online notification form on mobile phone with home quarantine surveillance, Khulu-Subdistrict, Trakarnpueatpon District, UbonRatchathani

Abstract

This research is action research to develop a depression screening in an online mobile alert format using the application LINE Notify in conjunction with the surveillance system for vulnerable populations. They can receive timely assistance. Evaluation of the development of depression screening using 2 PAOR cycles consisted of 4 phases: Phase 1, Situation analysis and planning, Phase 2: Depression Screening 2Q, 9Q using content according to Department of Mental Health to enable risk groups for self-assessment about their initial mental health through google forms and develop connections with LINE groups for use in LINE Notify when risk groups enter information into the system. Phase 3: Observations of the results. Phase 4: Reflections. The sample group consisted of 5 personnel responsible for surveillance work at-risk groups, 66 of which were screened at risk. The evaluation tool was the staff satisfaction and risk group assessment form, conducted during April - May 2020. The results of the study showed that there was a consultation channel and follow up on risk groups in the 14-day surveillance period, including depression screening through the application Line Notify with instant notifications. 100% of the assessments were applied to all target groups. The online notification system on a mobile phone was received data from 57 people with correct information, 9 incomplete information. The staffs were satisfied with the application Line Notify system in all four aspects. 100% of the risk groups received home visits and follow-up. One person was recommended to continue to treat in the clinic. Therefore, the online depression screening system on the mobile phone can perform quality screening in a convenient, quick, and timely which is suitable for target groups and can be applied to other groups.
