ประสบการณ์ไม่พึงประสงค์ในวัยเด็กในเยาวชนไทยที่รับทุนจากกองทุนเพื่อความเสมอภาคทางการศึกษา

วัตถุประสงค์ : เพื่อศึกษาความชุกและปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประสบการณ์ไม่พึงประสงค์ในวัยเด็ก (adverse childhood experiences: ACEs) ของเยาวชนไทยที่มาจากครอบครัวรายได้น้อย
วิธีการ : การศึกษาภาคตัดขวางในเยาวชนอายุ 18 - 23 ปี ใน 4 ภูมิภาค ที่ได้รับทุนจากกองทุนเพื่อความเสมอภาคทางการศึกษา ด้วยแบบสอบถามออนไลน์ถึงประสบการณ์ไม่พึงประสงค์ในวัยเด็ก ครอบคลุมการถูกทารุณกรรม การถูกละเลยทอดทิ้ง และปัญหาในครอบครัว ทดสอบความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพศกับ ACEs และระหว่าง ACEs ประเภทต่าง ๆ ด้วยการทดสอบ chi-square
ผล : กลุ่มตัวอย่าง 400 คน อายุเฉลี่ย 19.10 ± 1.02 ปี เป็นหญิงร้อยละ 50.5 กลุ่มตัวอย่างร้อยละ 75.5 รายงานว่าประสบ ACEs อย่างน้อย 1 ประเภทก่อนอายุ 18 ปี โดยพบปัญหาการแยกทางหรือหย่าร้างของพ่อแม่มากที่สุด (ร้อยละ 44.5) รองลงมา ได้แก่ การถูกละเลยทอดทิ้งทางกาย (ร้อยละ 43.8) และทางจิตใจ (ร้อยละ 16.8) เพศหญิงรายงานการถูกทารุณกรรม และการถูกละเลยทอดทิ้งทางจิตใจมากกว่าชายอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ และกลุ่มที่ครอบครัวมีปัญหาความรุนแรง การใช้สารเสพติด การเจ็บป่วยทางจิตเวช และการก่ออาชญากรรม รายงานการถูกทารุณกรรมทั้งทางกาย ทางจิตใจ และทางเพศ มากกว่ากลุ่มที่ไม่มีปัญหาดังกล่าวอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ
สรุป : ประมาณสามในสี่ของเยาวชนจากครอบครัวรายได้น้อยมี ACEs โดยเพศหญิง การเผชิญความรุนแรงในครอบครัว และการมีสมาชิกในครอบครัวมีประวัติโรคจิตเวชหรือการใช้สารเสพติด มีความสัมพันธ์กับการถูกทารุณกรรมและการถูกละเลยทอดทิ้ง จึงควรพัฒนามาตรการคัดกรองและระบบช่วยเหลือสำหรับครอบครัวเปราะบาง เพื่อลดปัญหาในครอบครัวและผลกระทบระยะยาวต่อเด็ก
