Epilepsy presenting with psychosis

Objective To report epileptic cases presenting with psychoses.
Materials and methods To review cases consultation from psychiatrists by the year 2010.
Results There were 3 female cases having diagnosed of acute psychosis and had been referred from general hospitals. During admission, they were closely monitored by multidisciplinary team. All had complex partial seizures. After antiepileptic drugs were prescribed, 2 were recovered but the other was deteriorated and dead after 7 days of admission to the general hospital.
Conclusion Epileptic patients presenting with psychosis should be closely monitored in order to promptly management.Downloads
