Readiness to Provide Care for COVID-19 Patients According Thai Traditional Medicine Principles among the 4th Year Thai Traditional Medicine Students of Praboromarajchanok Institute

This cross-sectional descriptive research aimed to explore the readiness to provide care for covid-19 patients according the principles of Thai traditional medicine among the 4th year Thai traditional medicine students of 4 colleges in Praboromarajchanok Institute. The data were collected from 99 Thai traditional medicine program students by using an online questionnaire which consist of readiness in knowledge and practice in caring for COVID-19 patients. Descriptive statistics was used to describe the demographic characteristics data and readiness score. One-Way ANOVA was performed to compare the means of the readiness between independent groups. The results found that the respondents had a high level of the readiness in knowledge and practice according Thai traditional medicine principles. In addition,
The results also revealed that the readiness to take care patients with COVID-19 were different for each college. Therefore, Praboromarajchanok Institute and each college can be used these results as a guideline for preparing students’ knowledge and clinical practice towards their readiness in facing COVID-19 before graduation as a Thai traditional medicine practitioner.
