Employment status of graduates in Bachelor of Public Health, in Community Public Health Program, Sirindhorn College of Public Health Khon Kaen.

Abstract

This cross-sectional descriptive research aimed to study the employment status of graduates. The job satisfaction of the graduates in the workplace and the satisfaction of the graduate users towards the graduate performance characteristics. The samples were 129 graduates of Community Health Program from year 2014 to 2018 and selected by simple random sampling. Data were collected by using questionnaires. Content validity of measurement instrument was between 0.67 and 1.00 and reliability, by using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, was 0.90. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, Mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum.The result of the research revealed that most of the graduates got a jobs about 86.82%. 51.16% of them had monthly incomes in the range of 15,001-20,000 baht, 93.02% were government officials, 70.54% works at the Tambon Health Promotion Hospital, 92.25% were public health technical officer and policy and plan analysis officers about 3.10%, and 88.37% of them had a satisfaction with work. 56.59% of them want to study in the future. Overview, The graduates were satisfied with the characteristics of the graduates in their work. at the high level.  in morality and ethics. In interpersonal skills and responsibilities and numerical analysis skills. Communication and information technology use with the highest frequency (96.77%) followed by intellectual skills about 95.16%. Satisfaction of graduate users towards graduate performance characteristics at high level, Particularly interpersonal skills and responsibilities were highest frequency (99.19 percent) and followed by the intellectual skills was 96.77%
