Abstract

                The cross-sectional descriptive research purposed To study the quality of sleep and factors related to the quality of sleep of the elderly people in Nong Saeng Subdistrict, Ban Haet District, Khon Kaen Province. Data were collected from 178 older people over the age of 60. Use simple random sampling method. The research tool is questionnaire. Analyze data using ready-made programs. Statistics used to analyze data include descriptive statistics, such as frequency, percentage and Inference statistics used to analyze relationships using Chi-Square test statistics, Fisher's exact test statistics.

                The results showed that the sample had an average age of 69.22 years (S.D =8.29). Most of them are female, 70.80%. The prevalence of poor sleep quality was found. 58.43 percent, There are a number of hours of sleep each night. Average 7.29 hours. There were 84.83 percent of sleep disturbance factors at a high level, High levels of sleep hygiene practices85.39 percent.and 81.46 percent had no depression. Factors related to quality of sleep are sleep disturbances. related to quality of sleep With statistical significance (p-value = 0.017). Therefore, The results of this study can serve as a guide for providing health services or taking care of the needs of the elderly. Which will make the elderly get enough rest. The occurrence of various health problems and reduce the quality of life to a good level.
