Effectiveness of Integrative Counseling Program on Alcohol Consumption of Schizophrenic Patients in Bandan District, Buriram Province

Abstract
. This research methodology was quasi-experimental design taken. The objectives were Effectiveness of Integrative Counseling Program on Reducing Alcohol Consumption of Schizophrenic Patients in Bandan District, Buriram Province to compare alcohol use of schizophrenic patients who use alcohol who received integrative counseling program while pre-post experimental intervention during June to October of 2020. Samples were 110 cases schizophrenic patients who use alcohol, recruited by purposive sampling. Instruments were Alcohol Scale for Alcohol Consumption, Reliability testing by calculation of Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient that was 0.90 and Integrative Counseling Method passed content validity testing by 5 experts. For control group had no extraordinary intervention. Analyzing data by independent t-test and Chi-square
The result showed that after intervention the experimental group had using Alcohol was lower than the control group in post-test at .05 significance level. Moreover, the experimental group who received Integrative Counseling Program had using Alcohol in post-test was lower than the pre-trial period at .05 significant level.
