Health Risk Communication Planning: CDCynergy Model

Introduction: The effectiveness of health risk communication can make individuals to change their health behaviors and lead to improve their well-being. Therefore, it is necessary to plan and design health risk communication based on a logical and systematic model.
Objective: To introduce and demonstrate the application of the CDCynergy model in health risk communication planning to develop healthy behaviors for the people.
Key issue: CDCynergy is a systematic and logical model for developing actions to address public health problems. public, especially focusing on health risk communication. The model operates in six phases 1) Problem description, 2) Analysis problem, 3) Plan intervention, 4) Development intervention, 5) Plan evaluation, and 6) Implement plan. Planning and designing with CDCynergy model has been applied internationally to make health risk communication more effective.
Conclusion: Healthcare professionals can use this model to plan and design health risk communications based on the problems, target groups, and local context to enable people to change their health behaviors and lead to promote their future well-being.
Implications: The proposed model can be further developed through research processes or applied in public health interventions in Thai society.
