แพทย์แผนจีนกับทางเลือกสุขภาพในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์

บทคัดย่อ
การแพทย์แผนจีนเป็นศาสตร์การแพทย์ที่มีประวัติอันยาวนานหลายพันปี และเป็นหนึ่งในการแพทย์ทางเลือกที่สำคัญและเป็นที่นิยมของคนไทยมีบทบาทสำคัญต่องานสุขภาพเนื่องจากการแพทย์แผนจีนมีขอบเขตการรักษากว้างขวางและมีต้นทุนการรักษาต่ำเหมาะกับสภาพสังคมและเศรษฐกิจในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์ ซึ่งการแพทย์แผนจีนมีเอกลักษณ์ คือ (1) การมีแนวคิดเน้นการมองสุขภาพแบบองค์รวม ซึ่งเน้นให้ความสำคัญต่อการเป็นองค์รวม หนึ่งเดียวกันของอวัยวะและเนื้อเยื่อต่าง ๆ ของร่างกาย ตลอดไปถึงความสัมพันธ์เป็นหนึ่งเดียวกันกับธรรมชาติ (2) การรักษาตามการจำแนกภาวะโรค โดยอาศัยการตรวจร่วมทั้ง 4 วิธี เพื่อค้นหาปัจจัยก่อโรค คุณลักษณะของโรค ตำแหน่งของโรค และวิเคราะห์กลไกการเกิดโรค ทั้งนี้ด้วยความมีเอกลักษณ์ที่โดดเด่นของศาสตร์การแพทย์แผนจีนที่แตกต่างไปจากศาสตร์อื่น ๆ จึงทำให้ได้รับความนิยมและเป็นทางเลือกในการดูแลสุขภาพของคนไทยเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ สำหรับการสาธารณสุขไทยได้นำการแพทย์แผนจีนมาใช้โดยมุ่งเน้นในการดูแลสุภาพ 2 ด้าน คือ ด้านการป้องกันโรคและด้านการส่งเสริมสุขภาพ ซึ่งใช้เทคนิคและวิธีปฏิบัติเฉพาะทางการแพทย์แผนจีน เช่น การทำกัวซา การครอบกระปุก การฝังเข็ม และการกระตุ้นไฟฟ้า เป็นต้น เพื่อจะนำไปสู่การมีสุขภาพดีของประชาชนท่ามกลางการเปลี่ยนแปลงในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์
