ภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านอีสานในการนวดรักษาโรคข้อเข่าเสื่อม

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภูมิปัญญาและรวบรวมองค์ความรู้การนวดเพื่อบำบัดโรคข้อเข่าเสื่อมของหมอพื้นบ้านอีสานในจังหวัดอุบลราชธานีและจังหวัดศรีสะเกษ ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ของวัตนธรรมไทยลาว และวัฒนธรรมเขมร ตามลำดับ อันเป็นกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ส่วนใหญ่ของอีสาน ครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพที่ใช้การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก สังเกต จดบันทึก บันทึกภาพและเสียง เพื่อเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลหมอพื้นบ้านที่มีประสบการณ์ในการรักษาและเป็นที่ยอมรับของคนในชุมชน ใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ส่งคืนข้อมูลให้หมอพื้นบ้านตรวจสอบและนำรายงานกลับคืนเพื่อแก้ไขเพิ่มเติมตามที่หมอพื้นบ้านต้องการเปิดเผย จากนั้นได้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเปรียบเทียบตำแหน่งทางกายวิภาคศาสตร์โดยแพทย์แผนไทยประยุกต์และนักกายภาพบำบัด ผลการศึกษาพบว่า จากหมอพื้นบ้านที่รักษาโรคข้อเข่าเสื่อมด้วยการนวดจำนวน 12 คน เป็นหมอพื้นบ้านจังหวัดอุบลราชธานีจำนวน 6 คน และศรีสะเกษจำนวน 6 คน เป็นเพศชาย 9 คน เพศหญิง 3 คน และส่วนมากเป็นผู้สูงอายุ โดยทั้งสองจังหวัดมีขั้นตอนในการรักษาโรคข้อเข่าเสื่อมคล้ายคลึงกันแสดงให้เห็นถึงการผสมผสานวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งมีลักษณะการผสมผสานทั้งแบบการรักษาโรค วิธีการรักษา ด้านความเชื่อและการประกอบพิธีกรรมก่อนการรักษาต่างกันเล็กน้อย ขั้นตอนในการรักษาโรคข้อเข่าเสื่อมประกอบด้วย 1) การตั้งขันบูชาครู 2) การสัมภาษณ์ประวัติ 3) การตรวจร่างกาย 4) การนวด 5) การตรวจประเมินหลังนวด และ 6) การให้คำแนะนำในการปฏิบัติตน หมอพื้นบ้านเน้นการรักษาแบบองค์รวม ทั้งด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ และจิตวิญญาณ การนวดพื้นบ้านเป็นการคลายเส้นเอ็น กล้ามเนื้อที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเคลื่อนไหวข้อเข่า เพิ่มการไหลเวียนเลือด เพิ่มความยืดหยุ่นของข้อ บรรเทาอาการปวด เพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิตให้ดีขึ้นได้ การศึกษานี้เป็นการอนุรักษ์ภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้าน ข้อมูลที่ได้สามารถใช้เป็นแนวทางสำหรับประชาชนหรือบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ ให้เข้าใจภูมิปัญญาการแพทย์พื้นบ้าน และนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการดูแลสุขภาพแบบผสมผสานในผู้ป่วยโรคข้อเข่าเสื่อมต่อไป
