Psoriasis: Knowledge from Thai Traditional Medicine

Abstract
The objective of this study is to gather and synthesize knowledge about psoriasis. According to Thai traditional medicine theory. The study is Qualitative Research. The method of study is a qualitative study. There are 2 types of study procedures which are (1) Document Review, reviewing traditional Thai medicine by keyword, Symptoms of Psoriasis , including the itching word group, red skin rash , The thick skin and scaly, pustules (2) In-depth interview 5 experts The scope of the interview is the name of the disease. Look at the pictures of 4 types of psoriasis. Analyze disease processes, disease progress and treatment. The study found that Skin redness group With the frequency of words appearing in the Takkasila scripture. word group, the skin is thick skin and scaly. There is a high frequency of words appearing in the Withikutdharok scripture. The most experts Called the Guttate Psoriasis and Pustula Psoriasis with the name Thai traditional medical disease "Pradong" .And all the experts call Plaque Psoriasis and Erythrodermic Psoriasis "Reun" caused by abnormalities of blood and lymph due to heat. Although all four types of psoriasis have different names in Thai medicine. But the pathogenesis and treatment guidelines are the same
