The participants were 236 nursing students studying in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year in 2017 academic year. 236 participants were random sampling selected using stratified sampling method. The research instruments used to collect data were questionnaires including, personal characteristic factors (PCF) questionnaire, family factor (FF) questionnaire, environment factor (EF) questionnaire, and achievement motivation (AM) questionnaire. The validity of these questionnaires was test using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The validity of PCF, FF, EF, and AM were 0.89, 0.76, 0.94, and 0.91 respectively. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistic, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis.

The research result showed that the overall of achievement motivation was at a good level (Mean = 4.26, S.D. = 0.39), personal characteristic factors was at a good level (Mean = 3.66, S.D. = 0.32), family factors was at a good level (Mean = 4.07, S.D. 0.63), environment factors was at a good level (Mean = 3.87, S.D.= 0.41). Furthermore, the characteristics of the learning (INSL), the characteristics of the instructor (ENST), attitude toward nursing profession (INAN), the expectations of parents to education (FAEP), methods of teaching and learning (ENMT) were factors that able to predict the learning achievement motivation (M) at 50.90% significantly (R = .713, Adjusted R2 = .509, F = 5.201, p <.001) as followed equation of I = 7.180 + 0.962 (INSL) + 0.651 (ENST) + 0.173 (INAN) + 0.517 (FAEP) + 0.181 (ENMT).

Educational administrators can use the research result as a guideline for strategic planning or developing the teaching and learning systems in order to efficiently enhance motivation for achievement in learning.
