Abstract

ABSTRACT            The purposes of this predictive co relational study were to determine 1) learning happiness and 2) factors influencing learning happiness among nursing students. The subjects were 510 first year to the fourth year nursing students of the Bachelor degree  of Nursing Science, Borommarajonani College of Nursing, Ratchaburi in the academic year, 2018. The research instruments consisted of 1) personal data questionnaire; stressful life events, physical health status, family atmosphere, financial status and relationships with peers, 2) learning happiness questionnaire and 3) the psychological self-care behavior questionnaire. The reliability tested by using Cronbach, s Alpha Coefficient were .86 and .82, respectively. The data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression.          The study results revealed as follows:1)      The average mean score on learning happiness of the students was at moderate level (Mean= 3.45, S.D. = .38)          2) Psychological self-care behavior, stressful life events and physical health status able to predict the learning happiness among nursing students by 49.6%. The most influential factors are psychological self-care behavior (ß = .68, p <. 01), followed by stressful life events (ß = -.06, p <.01) and physical health status (ß = -.09, p <.05).          The results of this study can be basic information for providing extra-curricular activities for psychological self-care behavior development in order to enhance learning happiness in studying the nursing profession and living in the future.
