Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative research are to describe the learning experience through the reflecting notes of students in nursing practice for the elderly and to study the opinions of students towards the teaching and learning through the reflective notes in the practice of nursing for the elderly. Sample is 2nd year nursing students, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Surin, enrolled in the course of 78 elderly nursing operations, academic year 2017, selected 78 samples. The instrument used in the research was the CMU documentation for the elderly nursing practice course. A practical training manual for the elderly nursing practice instructors The tools for data collection were the reflection record form. Data were analyzed using percentage and content analysis. The results of the study revealed that the experience gained from practice in the elderly nursing course was data collection from clients. Diagnosing problems and needs of clients Nursing plan / service plan /Nursing activity practice / service activities Nursing / Service Evaluation Observation skills Communication skills In the aspect of feeling, it was found that the students had a feeling of sadness, depression, anxiety, excitement, fear and fear.

The results of this study demonstrated student learning through experience in subject activities. Develop skills in problem solving in practice Therefore, the reflection record can be used as a tool for evaluation of teaching and learning.
