The Performance of The Public Health Officers According to Thai Traditional Medicine and Integrative Medicine Promoting Hospital Standard (TIPhS) at Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital in Nan Province

Abstract

               This descriptive survey research aimed to explore the administrative process and the performance of public health officers, as well as the relationship between personal data, administrative process and the performance of public health officers according to Thai Traditional Medicine and Integrative Medicine Promoting Hospital Standard (TIPhS) at sub-district health promoting hospitals in Nan province. Participants were 77 health personnel working at sub-district health promoting hospitals. Data were collected by questionnaire with its reliability about 0.94. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and Chi-square test, as well as Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient.  The results showed that:

            1. The overall level of the administrative process was high (M = 3.73, S.D. = 0.51). When considering about the performance of public health officers according to TIPhS, it was at a high level (M=3.80, SD=0.50).

             2. The administrative process had highly significant positive relationship (r=.814) with the performance of public health officers according to TIPhS (p = 0.01). Regarding other aspects in terms of gender, age, education level, marital status and working time period, there were not relationship with the performance of public health officers according to TIPhS.

            There should be a common policy for setting operational goals and future development direction As well as the potential of Thai traditional medicine practitioners
