การบำบัดด้วยออกซิเจนแรงดันสูงในนักกีฬา: จากหลักการพื้นฐานสู่การใช้งานทางคลินิก

บทคัดย่อ
การบำบัดด้วยออกซิเจนแรงดันสูงมีข้อบ่งชี้ในการรักษาการบาดเจ็บจากการดำน้ำและการเจ็บป่วยต่างๆ โดยอาศัยการเพิ่มขึ้นของออกซิเจนภายใต้แรงดันเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการรักษาภาวะดังกล่าว ในทางทฤษฎีกลไกนี้สามารถส่งผลบวกต่อนักกีฬาในการช่วยฟื้นฟูจากการบาดเจ็บและเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการออกกำลังกายได้ อย่างไรก็ตามแม้การศึกษาในปัจจุบันจะยังไม่สามารถยืนยันผลบวกดังกล่าวได้ กลับมีรายงานการใช้ห้องปรับแรงดันบรรยากาศสูงในนักกีฬาอาชีพทั่วโลก รวมถึงในองค์กรกีฬาระดับประเทศ การทบทวนวรรณกรรมในด้านวิทยาศาสตร์พื้นฐานและผลการศึกษาทางคลินิกในบทความนี้จะช่วยเพิ่มความเข้าใจในการปรับใช้การบำบัดด้วยออกซิเจนแรงดันสูงสำหรับนักกีฬา เพื่อให้สามารถนำมาใช้ได้อย่างเหมาะสมและสร้างประโยชน์สูงสุดได้ นอกจากนี้การศึกษาเพิ่มเติมสำหรับการบำบัดด้วยออกซิเจนแรงดันสูงในนักกีฬาอาชีพที่ออกกำลังในระดับการแข่งขันจริงมีความจำเป็นในการพิสูจน์ผลการรักษาในประชากรเฉพาะกลุ่มนี้ที่แม้สร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลงเพียงเล็กน้อย แต่อาจส่งผลต่อผลการแข่งขันของนักกีฬาอาชีพได้
