Focus and Scope
The Royal Thai Navy Medical Journal is an academic journal on medicine, nursing, health sciences and maritime medicine of the Naval Medical Department, Royal Thai Navy. Its objectives are:
1. Publish academic articles and research articles in medicine, nursing, health sciences and maritime medicine.
2. Exchanging knowledge and academic experiences among doctors, nurses, personnel in the fields of health sciences and maritime medicine, as well as interested parties.

Peer Review Process
All articles published in the Royal Thai Navy Medical Journal must undergo quality assessment by external and internal reviewers who specialize in the areas related to the topic and appointed by the Naval Medical Department, Royal Thai Navy, at least 2 persons per article. Our review process using a method of concealing the names of the reviewers and authors (Double-blind peer review).
Publication Frequency
The journal is scheduled to be published every 4 months (3 issues per year)
Issue 1: January – Apri
Issue 2: May – August
Issue 3: September - December.
Publication Fee
No publication fee is charged.
Open Access Policy

Journal History
The Royal Thai Navy Medical Journal is a journal of the Naval Medical Department that has published articles for 40 years and ceased its operations in 2003. The last issue of the journal was in volume 40, Issue 1, January - April 2003.
Later in 2013, Rear Admiral Panlert Klaeewtanong, Deputy Surgeon General of the Naval Medical Department, Royal Thai Navy (his rank and position at that time), had an idea to resume the operation of the Royal Thai Navy Medical Journal by appointing a committee to improve and develop the Royal Thai Navy Medical Journal and a working group for the Journal. He assigned the Academic Affairs Division, Academic Affairs Service Center, Naval Medical Department to be responsible for the work of the Royal Thai Navy Medical Journal. This new journal was volume 41, issue 1, January-April 2014.
The reason why the Naval Medical Journal has resumed operations is because the Royal Thai Navy Medical Department currently has a large number of new research, academic achievements, and knowledge that have been recognized in the medical/nursing circles. Therefore, there should be a publication source for the personnel of the Naval Medical Department, Royal Thai Navy to use in disseminating research and academic articles to the general public, as well as demonstrating the academic potential of the Naval Medical Department. In addition, it aims to promote and support personnel of the Naval Medical Department by providing them publication souces for their works in national journals in the database of the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI).
The journal has been certified for quality and is listed in the journal database of Group 1, in Science and Technology field of the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) as follows:
