บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อบรรยายประสบการณ์การแสดงตัวตนของมารดาที่เกิดขึ้นในระหว่างการเข้ารับการรักษาของผู้ป่วยเด็กที่มีภาวะการหายใจล้มเหลว เก็บข้อมูลโดยการสังเกตแบบไม่มีส่วนร่วมและการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกมารดาที่ดูแลผู้ป่วยเด็กที่มีภาวะหายใจล้มเหลวอย่างต่อเนื่องตามเกณฑ์การคัดเลือกแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีของ Colaizzi โดยการอ่านบทสัมภาษณ์หลายๆ ครั้ง ให้รหัสข้อมูล สร้างข้อสรุปและตีความเป็นประเด็น จนข้อมูลเกิดความอิ่มตัวด้วยจำนวนผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก 6 ราย
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า “การดูแลด้วยหัวใจความเป็นมารดา” และ “ความรู้สึกผลักดันและคงไว้ซึ่งการดูแลของมารดาที่ตั้งใจทำให้ลูก” เป็นประเด็นหลักที่เป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญของการแสดงตัวตนของมารดาในหอผู้ป่วยกุมารเวชบำบัดวิกฤต และสามารถใช้เป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานในการสนับสนุนการแสดงตัวตนของมารดารวมทั้งการวิจัยในอนาคตต่อไป
