Abstract

This research aimed to (1) examine the organizational culture of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, (2) assess the level of readiness for change within the university, and (3) analyze the relationship between organizational culture and readiness for change. The sample consisted of 314 university personnel, of which 276 completed questionnaires were returned. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
The findings revealed that the overall organizational culture was at a high level (mean = 3.62), with structure- and rule-oriented culture receiving the highest score (mean = 3.91). Similarly, overall readiness for change was high (mean = 3.53), with the personnel dimension showing the highest level (mean = 3.78). The analysis further indicated a statistically significant positive relationship between organizational culture and readiness for change at the .01 level (r = .850), particularly with respect to participation- and interpersonal relationship-oriented cultures.
These findings suggest that organizational culture plays a significant role in enhancing the university’s capacity to adapt and respond to change. In particular, a culture that promotes participation, collaboration, and shared learning may contribute to strengthening organizational readiness and supporting institutional transformation in response to contemporary challenges and national strategic priorities.
