Development of care Model for HIV and AIDS Patients at Suwannaphum Hospital

Abstract

Purposes : To study the problem of access to services for people living with HIV and develop Evaluating models of care for people living with HIV Suwannaphum Hospital Roi-Et Province.

Study design : Action Research.

Material and Methods : The sample group was the clinical care quality development team consisted of 12 people and 234 ART recipients. The research tools included : Brainstorming ideas, Problem situation using mindmaps group chat gather information from work documents,guidelines for observing and recording activities qualitative data were analyzed using classification. Analyze inductively, interpret meanings, draw conclusions and explain phenomena. Statistics used in quantitative data analysis include frequencies, percentages and averages. Running from October 2023 to March 2024.

Main findings : From organizing the mind mapping process,it was found that problems in accessing services include: There are still,few searches for infected people. Lack of follow-up and evaluation of patients before and after receiving antiretroviral drugs. Patient discipline in taking medicine. Patients lack knowledge about continuous treatment. The results of the focus group discussion were: 1)There are not enough personnel.2)There should be clear guidelines that can be easily used. 3) Personnel and patients want new knowledge training to be organized. The problem was brought to the meeting of the Quality Development Committee. Take care of the sick There have been improvement in manpower and development of multidisciplinary teams. Improving the location to be proportional,developing CPG ,creating guidelines and procedures. Practice and evaluation after 1 month of use.

Conclusion and recommendations : Results of this research this results in a teamwork process, holistic nursing creating a network in the community and strengthening people living with HIV/AIDS.
