ADMINISTRATIVE FACTORS AND LEADERSHIP SOFT SKILLS AFFECTING THE PERFORMANCE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE OF ADVANCED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS AT HOSPITALS IN KHON KAEN PROVINCE.

This cross- sectional descriptive research aimed to study the Administrative factors and Leadership soft skills affecting the performance emergency medical service (EMS) of Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMT) at hospitals in Khon Kaen province. This study included the entive 122 population. The completed questionnaires were returned by 111 respondents (90.98) This study collected data from the questionnaire for quantitative data and used In-Depth interview guidelines for the qualitative data from 12 people’s key informants. The questionnaire was examined and verified by the three experts for content validity with item objective congruence (IOC), all items were more than 0.50 and The Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient was 0.98. The data collection was carried out from 15th to 31st January 2024, Data analysis was performed by descriptive and Inferential statistics at a significance level of 0.05 Results revealed that the overall levels of Administrative factors, Leadership soft skills , and performance in the emergency medical system among EMS personnel in hospitals in Khon Kaen province were of high level, with mean scores of 4.11 (SD = 0.35), 4.12 (SD = 0.23), and 4.11 (SD = 0.24) respectively. Also found that the overall of Administrative factor and Leadership soft skills were significantly associated at a moderate with performance in the emergency medical system among EMS personnel in hospitals in Khon Kaen province (r= 0.637, p-value < 0.001) and (r= 0.676 , p-value < 0.001), respectively. There variables including; one of Administrative factors; time and two of Leadership competencies; initiating ideas and teaching task effected and could collaboratively predict the performance in the emergency medical system among EMS personnel in hospitals in Khon Kaen province, accounting for 42.20 % of the variance (R2 = 0.422, p-value < 0.001).
