Result of Development Potential of Caregivers among Passed Caregiver Course 70 Hours of the Department of Health in Regional Health 7

Abstract

This study was descriptive research. Aimed to studied the level of caregiver’s knowledge, problem conditions, competences and practices of caregivers in the 7th Health Region. The samples were 220 caregivers who had completed the 70-hour training course of the Department of Health. The research tool ware questionnaire to assess the ability and performance of caregivers Health Center 7 Khon Kaen The study found that caregivers knowledge was at the highest level, 41.4 percentage ( = 12.78, S.D. = 1.7). Problem conditions was a 55.7 percentage of the elderly caregivers, such as having a lot of workloads, lack of knowledge, having health problems. The ability to take care of the elderly at the highest level 81.4 percentage ( = 13.2, S.D. = 1.0). The practice to take care of the elderly at the highest level 89.5 percentage ( = 17.9, S.D. = 0.9). Suggestions for enhancing the potential of caregivers for the elderly to be able to work efficiently. Knowledge should be developed continuously. Organize a refresher course. Create a mentoring system to help resolve problems that and health promotion for elderly caregivers to be healthy and have a good quality of life.
