Health Literacy of prevention and control rabies, community leaders in Rabies free area and Non-rabies free area at Health Region 7

Health literacy is an important factor for people of all ages. both normal health conditions and abnormal conditions that affect behavior and affect health. In the past, rabies is still a major public health problem in Thailand. and is a problem in the 7th health zone 2017-2018. Rabies death from pet dog found and after the bite did not wash the wound and did not get vaccinated against rabies. The purpose of this research is to study. to find health literacy in public health areas that in the community leaders in the rabies-free area of 179 people and 149 community leaders in non-rabies-free areas were compared with their knowledge of rabies health. ready to find the relationship between knowledge and rabies prevention and control behaviors of the two main groups. Selected a specific sample group (Purposive Sampling) and collected data by using a questionnaire containing 4 parts: general information, health literacy. Rabies knowledge and rabies prevention behavior Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. including percentage Mean and Standard Deviation The questionnaire had a confidence value of Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.75.
In a rabies-free area and the area is not free from rabies
The results showed that The sample group in the rabies-free area were female 60.34 percent, age 41-60 years 75.4%. A very good overview of rabies health literacy (x̅ = 3.90, S.D.=0.95). Prevention behaviors were moderate (x̅ = 2.45, S.D.=1.06) and knowledge of rabies was at an average level 53.07% when considering the correlation value of health knowledge of the rabies-free area leaders and rabies knowledge in rabies-free areas found that there was no statistically significant correlation (r=1.131, p>0.05). There was no statistically significant relationship with rabies prevention behaviors (r=1.113, p>0.05).
The sample in the area was not rabies free. Most of them were female, 51.59%. Age group 41-60 years 77.7% Knowledge of rabies health Fair level (x̅ = 3.77, S.D.=0.83) moderate Rabies Self-Defense Behavior and had knowledge of rabies at a fair level 55.03% and the correlation of rabies health literacy in non-rabies-free areas and disease prevention behaviors. It was found that there was no statistically significant relationship (r=1.925, p>0.05).
The relationship between the rabies health knowledge of the rabies-free area and the health literacy of the rabies-free area sample. There was no difference between the two groups (r=0.101, p>0.05). Therefore, it is important to study the factors that enable the local administrative organizations to comply with the rabies-free area building criteria. and encouraging local administrative organizations to enhance health literacy skills for leaders and people
