การพัฒนาบริการสุขภาพที่เป็นมิตรเพื่อป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์ไม่พึงประสงค์ในวัยรุ่น Improving Adolescent Friendly Health Service for Prevent Unwanted Teenage Pregnancy

Abstract

The objective of this action research were to analyze the situation and improve Adolescent Friendly Health Service accessibility of  Tomban Health Promoting Hospital. There are 42 participants, including 10 teenagers, 10 parents. 10 Village public health volunteers, 2 community leaders, 4 teachers, 1 district municipality officer, 1 register nurses from community hospitals and 4 healthcare providers from Tomban Health Promoting Hospital. The tools used to collected data including, in-dept interview guideline, focus group discussion and observation guideline. Content analysis was used for qualitative data and descriptive statistic was used for quantitative data. The study was 2 cycle followed the cycle of the action research and conducted between June 2018 and April 2019 in which 4 phases including 1) planning phase 2) implementation phase  3) reflection phase and 4) revised plan phase.

                The results showed that  adolescent in the study area were still unable to access health services. Factors including from adolescent, health care service factors and community perspectives. The health care providers and network in the community misunderstanding of Adolescent Friendly Health Service. Furthermore lack of health care provider that responsibility to work with adolescent group directly. Therefore leading to the development of health services in order for teenagers to have access to comprehensive sex education consisting of 4 main activities: 1) workshop course “kind adults for caring for children and adolescent” 2) workshop course “modern adolescents pay attention to sexual health” content was designed follow the needs of the target group. 3) Created a channel to access information and knowledge 3 channels and 4) Improved comprehensive sexuality integrated in schools curriculum and Tomban Health Promoting Hospital. All activity created participation by using action research process.Resulting in working associated with all relevant organizations. Causing the concerned parties to see the problem together, collective thinking and decision making by considering capital in the community ability and the context of the community, making the service comprehensive and meet with the needs of adolescent group.

                Suggestions from this studied should promote all participants to participate in all activities especially the parents and also continuously monitoring the performance and encouraging adolescents to take a major role in  activity for sustainability.
