This Predictive correlation descriptive research aims to describe family well–being and factors influencing family well - being among families experiencing stroke patients. The sample consisted of 135 primary family caregivers for stroke patients at Nangrong hospital, Buri-Ram province. A convenient sampling was used to recruit the sample. Research instruments used to collect data were demographic record form and questionnaires including ability of family care givers, family relationships, family support, family coping, and family well-being. Statistics used to analyze data were descriptive statistics and multiple regressions.
The results showed that factors influencing family well - being including the ability of caregivers in family caregivers (β = .288, p<.001) and family coping (β = .413, p<.001). These factors combined could explain 23% of variance of family well - being among families experiencing stroke patients (Adjusted R2= .23, p < .001). The findings suggested that promoting family well - being with families experiencing stroke patients should pay attention on ability of caregivers in family caregivers and family coping.
