The objectives of this predictive study were to examine correlated and predicting factors of health status among weaving women in Ubon Ratchathani province. A sample consisted of 400 weaving women in Ubon Ratchathani province. Data were collected from May to June 2015. The measurements include physiological measurements such as blood pressure, waist circumference, height, and weight; and a package of questionnaires included personal and occupation information, health status, working environment, working conditions, health behaviors, and stress test. Data were analyzed by descriptive, Pearson correlation, and multiple regressions. The results found that
- The majority of weaving women perceived that their health status is better than poor (62.8 %) (perceived health status score ≥ 6; Maximum = 10) (Mean = 6.20, SD = 1.39).
- Predicting factors of health status were family relationships (Beta = .302, p <.001), and disease (Beta = -.164, p =.001). Total variances explained health status 13.0 %.
The results from this study recommended that health care providers and health care institutes should develop programs and conduct research to promote family relationships, and health promotion to prevent illness.
