การศึกษาข้อมูลทางการพยาบาลด้านการจัดการความปวดจากเวชระเบียนผู้ป่วยกระดูกหัก ที่เข้ารับการรักษาในแผนกอุบัติเหตุฉุกเฉิน โรงพยาบาลชุมแพ จังหวัดขอนแก่น A Study of Nursing data on pain Management of Fracture Patient Medical Records Treated in Emergency Department Chumphae Hospital KhonKaen

Abstract

This is retrospective-descriptive study, which aimed to study nursing database on pain management of fracture patients in emergency department Chumphae Hospital, Khon Kaen. We collected data from 146 outpatient medical records by purposive sampling method following Inclusion criteria of the emergency patient who visited an emergency department between December 2016 to April 2017. The tool was Nursing recording on pain management patient fracture form and was a test for content validity by 5 experts. which had Content validity index was 0.79. Data were analyzed by average, percentage, frequency, standard deviation and using paired samples t-test compared average pain score before and after pain management.

The result of this study revealed mostly were males 74.70% with the average age of 43.55 years. (S.D. =19.24); cause of injury was general accidence was 54.80% and traffic injury was 45.20%. Most of the fractured patient was emergency level 3 (ESI3) and close fractured. Position with bones fractured was hands, legs and arms, respectively. Average duration patient stay in the emergency department were 180 minutes    (S.D. = 44)

The result of this study with the average pain score before and after pain management was 5.91 and 4.81, respectively. When compared by using Paired samples t-test revealed significant differences between the average pain score before and after pain management (P< .001). This study presenting pain management in the emergency department can be decrease pain of the fracture patient. The duration waited for pharmacological pain management was 49 minutes (S.D. = 38)

This study reflected about receiving of fracture patient, Access to health and pain management from the health team. This can be used for planning and development services to improve the effectiveness of these services.
