Abstract

The purpose of this quasi - experimental study was to examine the effect of  Therapeutic Conversation Program for HIV/AIDS and Family’s on health behaviors among HIV/AIDS receiving ANTI-HIV drugs. The sample of 50 HIV/AIDS was equally divided into the experimental and control group (n = 25). and experimental group (n = 25). The experimental group received four weekly sixty- minute sessions of Therapeutic Conversation Program for HIV/AIDS and Family’s, while the control group received regular nursing care. Health behavior record form of  HIV/AIDS infected person. Interviewer used for pretest and posttest data collection. Frequency, mean, standard deviation, and T- test were computed for data analysis.

The results revealed that after the experiment, experimental group receiving the HIV/AIDS and family therapy dialogue program had a significantly higher mean difference in health behavior scores than those who received regular nursing care at a statistically significant level (< 0.05). This indicates that Therapeutic Conversation Program for HIV/AIDS and Family’s can  Promote healthy behaviors of HIV/ AIDS infected people with appropriate anti-retroviral treatment.
