ปัจจัยทำนายคุณภาพชีวิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาที่มีอาการปวดศีรษะไมเกรน ในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร Predicting Factors of Quality of Life among Secondary and High School Students with Migraine Symptoms
Abstract
The present predictive correlational study was designed to determine whether severity of migraine, anxiety disorder, depression, social support and school program can predict quality of life of secondary and high school students with migraine symptoms in Bangkok. The purposive sample was 115 secondary and high school students with migraine symptoms who had met the inclusion criteria. The quality of life among secondary and high school students with migraine symptoms was at the moderate level. Social support and severity of migraine together could account for 24.3 % of variance in quality of life (β = -.212, p < .01). Depression, anxiety, and school program could not predict quality of life.
The study findings suggest that social support and severity of migraine in secondary and high school students with migraine should be assessed. An intervention to enhance social support and reduce severity of migraine should be implemented in order to promote quality of life for students with migraine symptoms.
