บทคัดย่อ

This qualitative research focuses on the situation of marijuana use, knowledge, understanding, care for marijuana users and encouraging community participation in the analysis of guidelines for the prevention of marijuana use in one community from the northeast of Thailand that experience Severe marijuana use’s problems. Methods of collecting data by observing In-depth interviews Group discussion from 85 youth groups, parents, public health volunteers and community leaders, who have seen marijuana use’s problems in the community and interested parties in analyzing the guidelines for the prevention of marijuana use. The method of selecting the participants in the study by inquiring from the staff of Tambon Health Promoting Hospital which not involved in this research. Participate in sharing experiences until leading brainstorming and reflection meetings to analyze ways to prevent marijuana use in a community context.

                The study indicated that the situation of marijuana uses in the community have been used in two forms: marijuana use in daily life has been in the past. Until the belief that marijuana is a herb to treat stress Cure insomnia and also used as tonic for health, increase appetizing. Therefore, it is used in seasoning food for better taste. The action of marijuana makes users happy, good mood, reduce stress. Therefore, some community members use it for pleasure and enjoyment, resulting in marijuana users and the epidemic spread in the community. Especially among young people aged 13-19 years and the youngest addict is only 10 years old. There is a reflection of the youth age that started using marijuana. The cause of the epidemic is mostly from some groups of adults in the community, persuading and selling to the youth group to consume until the addiction occurs indicates that humans are learning to seek happiness relieving the suffering of marijuana use. Causing the use of marijuana for widespread use and widespread spread it affects the addicts, families, communities, promoting community participation in the analysis of guidelines for the prevention of marijuana use. Make everyone aware until the power to set guidelines for the prevention of marijuana use in the context of the community 4 points as follows. 1) Promote surveillance in the community, covering the children 2) Promote the potential for screening, treatment and return to the community 3) Promote school education 4) Promote the environment without cannabis.

Suggestions: There should be further research to develop a model of the marijuana prevention and problem-solving program in the group of students by community participation and the research results should be further developed in the treatment program for marijuana users in the community by using community-based.
