Objective This report was to show outcomes of STST in patients with obsessivecompulsive disorder.

Materials and methods This report explained OCD symptoms by Satir model and applied STST to treat the patients with OCD. Therapist had done STST with individual patient
who had failed other treatment and/or request psychotherapy. Each patient had one to three sessions, two to four weeks interval and about one hour for each session. The therapeuticprocess had to explore the pattern of the compulsive behavior to discover the unconscious meaning and the wrong cognitive underlying the obsession. Then the intra-psychic conflicts or traumatic experiences in the past was resolved and promoted growth and development by STST.

Results One patient who suffered from severe obsessive-compulsive disorder for seven years, failed medical and other treatment, had improvement after one year follow up in OPD
service. She had good quality of life and took less medicine. Three patients who also had obsessive-compulsive symptoms for 4-10 years were able to stop taking medicines after short
term treatment.

Conclusion STST was effective treatment in obsessive-compulsive disorder. STST was a choice of treatment for the patients with resistant OCD and the one who want to
choose psychotherapy.
